Climate Justice and Dignified Jobs
Climate change is having a disproportionate impact on people in extreme poverty.
That’s why we seek out portfolio partners creating green dignified jobs — building resilience in vulnerable communities alongside a more sustainable economy.

Most of the billions of tons of post-consumer waste generated each year ends up in landfills, with only 30% being recycled or processed worldwide. The companies in our growing waste management portfolio are addressing this challenge by employing people in extreme poverty to process waste and find new uses for it in a circular economy.

Climate change has forced India’s farmers to adapt to a new normal. While large agribusinesses have the resources to make this transition, smallholder farmers often do not. Our portfolio includes more than a dozen companies helping farmers transition to organic or sustainable practices for growing their produce and better connect them with consumers in the modern marketplace.

India’s rich history of artisan-driven handicraft and textile manufacturing is reflected in the work of our portfolio partners, who are upcycling materials, switching to solar-powered looms, or scaling sustainable substitutes for everyday products.
Our climate action-inclined portfolio
We look for partners that are part of the solution.
Our due diligence process screens out companies we deem to be contributing to climate change or the degradation of the environment — and screens in companies that affirmatively offer adaptation or mitigation strategies building community resilience for climate-related threats.
