Parvathy Ramanathan

Parvathy has served on the Upaya board since 2022 with a deep commitment to poverty alleviation and dignified jobs. She has extensive experience in social impact, especially in India. She has worked on growth and scale of non-profit organizations, digitization of the social impact value chain and partnerships on collaborative and innovative programs. Currently, she serves as Senior Director of Strategy and Planning at Global Health Labs, a non-profit organization fully funded by Gates Ventures, with a focus on delivering context-relevant, inclusive health innovations custom-built for communities in low resource settings across the world. Previously, Parvathy was a Principal at Sattva Consulting in India, where she led multiple functions while working closely with social impact sector and community-level stakeholders in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and gender equity. 

Prior to Sattva, Parvathy held various business leadership roles in the US private and public sectors, ranging in size from startups and Fortune-500 companies (including IQVIA and Amazon) to government organizations. Parvathy is a first-generation college graduate, earning her MBA from the Northwestern Kellogg School of Management and BS in Engineering from Mumbai University in India.
