Han Agrocare cultivates and processes mushroom varieties producing an array of food products as well as nutraceutical components at the intersection of fungiculture, food processing, and biotechnology. Their mission is to promote chemical-free, hygienic, organic, exotic, and medicinal mushrooms while conserving the environment and providing employment to women, landless farmers, and tribals to meet the United Nation's sustainability goals of gender equality, poverty alleviation, and health and wellbeing.
Since 2013, Han Agrocare has empowered over 5000 landless, and marginalized tribal women through comprehensive support mechanisms like training, mentoring, technical assistance, and a buyback policy. in 2017, Han Agrocare was awarded the CII Innovation Award and in 2019, it was among the top 10 Agri companies in Agri Udaan.

Dr. Hiresha Verma, also known as the Mushroom Lady of India, is a techie-turned-entrepreneur. She is a pioneer in introducing medicinal mushrooms in India on a commercial level and creating a sustainable production model. She was also selected as one of the top 100 women transforming India by NITI Aayog in 2019.
